Hey guys
Out KM6100 about to expire and they are offering us the new KM 12010S/14010S, we do want the white color it looks great and can open up new jobs.
The "Problem" we have is that we don't know if the machines are good or have any experience on the market.
Do someone have here any ideas about the machines or can put a light on us about the new KM machines.
Thank you.

We have a 6100! This is one of the best KM machine's made as far as colour. I'm in the same boat. We need to upgrade.
We have a 14000 also; very fast, but colour shifts unless you use CDC! We use so many stocks and sizes we cant use CDC because we have too many staff.
We might trial one of these soon...

Out KM6100 about to expire
What do you mean it's about to expire? Are they telling you it's end of life and will no longer be supported? Or do you mean the lease is coming to an end? We have a KM C6085 and KM C7090, and are considering upgrading both to C14010's in the near future too. Based on press releases and talking with our local KM production rep, there isn't much difference between the C14000 and C14010s other than the white option and upgraded print controllers.

Check this out. I don't think the white toner will really benefit us since we rarely use it on our OKI, but I do like the new IM-104 & IM-105 that this offers if they work as they claim.

This article highlights the upgrade to the controllers: "The new models have also been fitted with new high-speed CPUs with solid-state drives (SSDs), as opposed to hard drives, making processing of artwork significantly faster through their Fiery or Creo print controllers."

Do you consider taking the Iridesse maybe? this is also option for us and xerox gave us really good price on it.

Our contract about the expire we use lease machines for 6 years each contract.
We also considering taking the Iridesse with 6 colors but don't have any knowledge about it

One of the guys in my shop came from another shop that had the Iridesse. He claims our Konica's are better to work with because the Iridesse was always stopping to adjust mid-run, and it would take forever to start the first print because it was always warming up. He also said the 5th/6th colors are a gimmick. The gold and silver don't really look like foil or metallic inks. In fact, we just had a new customer come to us with a sample from another shop that used the Iridesse gold and wanted us to do real foiling because it doesn't look good. Maybe other users can weigh in or you can start a new thread for feedback on the Iridesse. I've heard other shops in my area say that the Iridesse was overhyped and an over-priced purchase. I've seen samples with the clear and you can barely notice it's there. Lastly, if you don't already have consistent requests from customers for silver, gold, or clear - it will be a tough sale and probably not used much. Both KM and Xerox produce a quality CMYK print regardless.

Thank you for the replay.
Xerox did gave us a really good price on the Iridesse and it was a good consider because it can also do envelopes, and we print many envelopes with the KM
About the 5th and 6th color we have been told that this is a gimmick, what we work with is the white, KM also have white but no one knows how the new machines actually work
I see mixed thoughts about the Iridesse machine in the forum, makes us confuse
