Komori Feeder Overshoot Problem

Is anyone experiencing overshoot problems on their Komori feeder? We have a 2014 LS429 H+C B2 press. Since new we have been experiencing sheets overshooting the front lays, and being snatched through the press resulting in damage to the blanket and packing. The feeder will stop but it doesn't hold the problem sheet in the front lays. It then leaves debris in the press which appears on the blanket at a later date. It is worth mention Komori have been very good and supplied plenty of training so its not a setting problem.

Komoris are notorious for this. Your swing arm is continuing to operate after the feeder trips and the headstops have disengaged and ripping the sheet out of the headstops. First check the breaker in the main electrical panel for the swing gripper. If it is not tripped, the pin for the solenoid is likely broken. There are two solenoids either under the feeder or inside the cover on the first unit; one that controls the the swing arm, and one that controls the headstops. Identify which one is for the swing gripper and replace the pin. Also, sometimes the mounting screws vibrate out and the solenoid is too loose to actuate properly, this will cause the same issue.

Hi John,
Afraid not, this has been checked. The swing arm is disengaging but the sheet has over shot so far the transfer grippers are gripping it and the press is not checking out until the sheet has been taken through.
Thanks for your reply.
