Lacie 526 Hardware calibration

Hi, a Lacie 526 monitor became available for sale locally for pennies and I couldn't resist....

It came with the Monaco OptixXR software and probe. which of course will not work with my Mac Pro running Monterey. I have a couple of questions:

1) I have a Colormunki Photo spectrophotometer that I use with my main display. If I understand properly, this will do a software calibration of the Lacie. Anyone have any experience doing a hardware calibration of this thing?
2) What if I calibrate the display on an old mac mini running OptixXR. Will I then be able to use the monitor on more recent Mac?

Sorry if the answers to these questions are obvious as they are not obvious to me...

Thanks for any help in advance.
Luigi
