I picked up a used VM-4 with Symphony Open RIP version 2, build 311.
I've imaged small press plates for our Ryobi 3200 with great success sending files from Quark, Acrobat or InDesign, with or without crop marks.
I'm now trying to image larger plates (25-5/8 x 21-5/8) and after the file is ripped, the image is up against the right edge (as you view the preview on the screen) rather than centered. I've sent pdf, Raw Quark and Inposition files all with the same effect. Size of Document is 17-1/4 x 22-3/4 with the marks included.
Upgrading to Version 3 would be difficult to do financially at this time, plus would I be fully assured of success?
