Five McClatchy properties with existing (local) NewsWay systems will be replaced by ProImage’s NewsWay (browser-based) system–significantly streamlining McClatchy’s production. NewsWay is a workflow system for newspaper and commercial printers that controls and manages production from front-end systems through to output.
Each property will have its own custom workflow to meet its own specific requirements. Browser-based login and passwords allow each property to view specific publications and access different production views.
NewsWay’s functionality includes workflow management, production tracking, Ripping, page & plate approvals, annotation, driving proofers, text burning, priority scheduling, plate room management and monitoring production status from origination to print sites, regardless of the print location.
