Moving Trendsetter to the new location

It would be best to get Kodak involved, they will take whatever steps are necessary to prepare the unit for shipping and put it back into working order at the new site. They will also wish to do a site inspection at the new location to ensure that there are no problems when the unit is delivered.

We cannot afford to ask Kodak for help. They charge 1200 Euro for visit of serviceman. We would not ask in Printplanet if we could hire Kodak.

Keep in mind that if the laser is not properly locked down or removed for shipping/moving, the cost to replace it will be alot more. We were told by Kodak that to replace the laser on our Trendsetter would be around $65,000 US dollars. Also, as Stephen Marsh mentioned, the site inspection is very important. Kodak did a site inspection for us about a month before we received our Trendsetter, and we were prepared when the platesetter arrived and was installed. We had no installation problems because of this.

Just lock the carriage/laser with some packing foam, move it gently avoiding shocks and it should be fine.
