Packaging posters for shipping

Looking for insight regarding best practices for shipping large volume of posters via UPS - FED -EX poster size 24x36 we had a recent project which required shipping 30- 50 posters to various International destinations. Are tubes the best method.

Triangular Postal Boxes are a common alternative to cardboard tubes.
FedEx used to supply them "no charge".
Compared to tubes they require far less storage space if stored flat.
