We have watched folders through PitStop Server and through a regular version of PitStop in Acrobat 9 that are set up to automatically remove printer marks from client-submitted files. Most of the time it works just fine, but on occasion the watched folders will remove more than just the printer marks. Sometimes portions of images or shaded areas will be removed as well. If we catch it we can run the original file through an alternate preflight that doesn't remove the printer marks and it will be fine. Does anyone know what would cause this to happen and ideally how to keep PitStop from removing non-printer-mark items during the remove printer marks step?
