Plockmatic 350e Error Code BK-021

Hello all,

Wondering if anybody has encountered this error code, specifically the Are B2: Fault code: BK-021 error. We've been dealing with this issue for a couple months now, and our repair tech came out to take a look. After running diagnostics, he concluded it was a piece that belonged to the motor, so he replaced it. The issue persists.

Attached are images of the error code along with an image of where the paper gets stuck (just after the staple module). We've had a lot of paper wasted due to this error, so I would love to hear anybody's thoughts on this.

Thank you!

Plockmatics error messages are very generic an unhelpful (in my experience). I've seen that error message multiple times and it's always a different thing every time.
Usually we found it was a guide that had jumped a track (bent wrong or get pushed out of position). The single most useful thing when detecting issues was that we had a good working relationship with another print shop that had the same machine we did. Whenever either shop would run into issues we would swap videos/pics of what the working machine was doing and what the non-working machine was doing and then we were able to usually compare/contrast the movements to figure out what was different and fix it from there.

Plockmatics repair folks are almost completely unhelpful because their error messages on the machines are too generic and so they're mostly randomly shooting at the problem.
I've been told that Ricoh has a lot of these machines in-line so the Ricoh repair techs know a lot about how to fix these so you might call a ricoh rep and see if one of their techs will come in on a parts and labor contract to diagnose the issue for you.

Our Ricoh tech came in about a week ago to change out a motor in the area the booklets get stuck in. It fixed it the rest of that day, but it went right back to getting stuck the next day.

I do remember him saying something about how the error codes as well as the manual are very vague. I guess I'm just going to have to have him try something else next time he comes in.
