Prinect 2010 - GMG ColorProof

Hi All

We've recently installed GMG's ColorProof to run the proofing side of our workflow.

Is there anybody out there that has a similar set-up and if you have are you sending 1-bit tiff's to ColorProof?

We're keen to do this in order to make sure that the proofs are being produced by the same RIP as the plates.

I was just wondering what is the best way to create the 1-bit tiff's. I have got something in place but would be interested to know what other people have done.

Hello!

We use ColorProof here too, but it goes throw ColorProof, where we print the proof after; and then we send it to the RIP, to record the plates.

Why not run Meta, same vendor, same workflow, same APPE that renders plates.
We've been using Meta for 7 years and it always perfectly matched plate output, never disrepancy.
1-bit tiff to proofer is waste of time and overprotecting if you ask me.
