Soy based ink is very common and nothing new to the industry. Alot of its popularity was forced on us by politically motivated do gooders wanting to save the world. In the earliest days of soy based inks i think that they were very poor performers on press. They have gotten much better but i don't believe they are as good as conventional oil based inks. This is the world we live in today for better or worse.
