You are still not actually providing any information. It doesn't matter what technology you, or anyone else uses. What matters is what target you are trying to hit.
For example...if your target is to conform to FIRST, then it doesn't matter if you use Kodak or Esko or anything else - you are required to use a round dot AM screen if you are doing flexo. If you are doing offset, then you need to decide if your target is ISO 12647-2, SWOP, your own standard or what?
You don't say what printing tech you service nor what you provide your clients....plates? files? bitmaps? or ?
You say you're a prepress/packaging consultant for few customers. What are they trying to do? What is their target?
etc, etc, etc.

Most of my customers are doing offset Packaging jobs (Corrugation) with regular Round / Euclidean dot - they want to try with some FM dots (Like Staccato from Kodak & Hiline/Concentric from Esko & Stochastic from Studio rip) which will improve the printing quality ??

They need to do some brandprotection like Hidden text (Anti copy) Hidden image ? I have no idea about this which software can does and how expensive its?

As a consultant they need my suggestion before invest on those type of RIP / Software ( For special dot & security features)

Can I express the concern that someone who apparently doesn't KNOW anything about packaging is hiring themselves out as a packaging CONSULTANT?

As a packaging prepress manager...I think I part of me just died a little... LOL

Ok, sorry for the sarcasm... but in all honestly Kala, if you are hiring out services for something you actually don't know anything about, I think you are opening yourself up to a HUGE liability risk. Advising companies on the purchase of software that can sometimes cost more than your average prepress tech's salary when you don't know the industry that you are advising is not only a risky liability, but also, IMHO, really...I don't have words to describe what that is without using a LOT of four letter words.
