Roland Large Format Banding

Good afternoon all,

A quick question from ourselves. Have any of you experienced banding issues with large format Roland printers?
Particularly with printing block colours, where we are experiencing this problem most.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, we do on their solvent Soljet 540. Old heads will make this worse but this is also a sign printer. Not an aqueous.

Never used a Roland, but have used various other wide format printers. Are you running the proper profile for your media? How many passes are you running? What RIP are you using?

None at all on our three year old roland vs540 dude, only think it does really bad is greys, they come out with a green shade, other than that spot on. We're running cmyklmlcwm

The main problem seems to become apparent when printing on Vinyl, not any other format.

Bi-directional printing can make the banding worse, have you tried uni-directional?

This could be a number of different things.
1. Are you using the take-up reel?
2. Are your media profiles correct?
3. Are your heater settings correct?
4. Are your heads clean?
