Agfa, is a world leader in prepress solutions for the commercial, newspaper and packaging printing industries. In addition, we are quickly expanding our assortment for the fast-growing market of industrial inkjet printing with the development of state-of-the-art printers and inks for applications such as billboards, packages and decoration.
Agfa-Pitman is currently looking for a Sales Representative to join our team in the Maryland region (familiar with Wide Format).
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts in a fashion which achieves maximum customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Achieve growth through establishing new accounts in assigned territory. This includes targeting accounts which are serviced by competitive dealers as well as developing accounts in the specialty markets we serve (i.e. Packaging, Pressroom, etc.)
• Develop a working relationship with specialists to support technical requirements of customers and prospects (i.e. packaging, digital, pressroom, etc.)
• Develop and implement a plan for territory/account assignment to achieve growth and profit objectives.
• Implement programs provided by management.
• Responsibly manage individual expense budgets for travel and entertainment and other business related functions.
• Effectively communicate, network and coordinate activity with key manufacturers.
• Effectively communicate and support operational needs of the branch (i.e. consignment inventory, stocking requests, and communication with customer service and purchasing).
• Meet reporting requirements of managers, to include forecast funnel, manufacturer target reviews, and expense reports.
• Actively pursue new product knowledge by reading industry publications and manufacturer updates as well as taking advantage of industry events and/or seminars.
• Complete proposals and quotations on a timely basis, and in a professional fashion.
• Work within approved guidelines for pricing and other terms and conditions for all products.
• Inspect DSO for all customers and support the collection efforts of the credit manager.
• Insure all proper credit approvals are in place for all new accounts and equipment orders.
• Participate in sales meetings. Share information with sales team members regarding key issues affecting the industry and territory.
• Be involved in industry trade organizations by supporting events and special assignments
Education
• Bachelors Degree preferred
Experience
• 1 - 3 years sales experience
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Wide Format experience preferred
• Knowledge and use of Customer Service Reporting (CSR) and Customer Relationship management (CRM) software
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable and well organized
• Must have valid drivers license
