SCREEN GA & CGS ORIS announce a joint effort in which they develop a color matching solution—using the CGS ORIS CxF Toolbox—to accurately communicate brand colors between digital presses; including those from different manufacturers, and between flexographic & digital presses. Their algorithm predicts halftones from limited colorimetric data & automatically generates CxF data.
Users of the Truepress Jet L350UV SAI series will benefit from this technology, as it reduces the need for highly skilled operators and reduces overall production time to achieve color accuracy. The operator produces a color chart and enters the color measurement data into the CxF Toolbox. Once entered, the system generates the CxF data. ORIS claims minimal color expertise is required of the operator. The Toolbox—connected to ORIS’ Color Cloud—allows any authorized user from around the world to access the information.
