As a Senior Professional Services Engineer for Pageflex, a division of Bitstream Inc., you will join a skilled development team working on customer commissioned enhancements to the Pageflex product line using our extensive API’s. You will work closely with Engineering, Product Design, QA, Support, and Documentation colleagues and contribute to all phases of the software development cycle. To be considered for this position, you should have a proven track record of taking small to medium software projects from design through implementation. You will work directly with our end users to assess their needs and develop solutions that fit those needs.
Requirements:
• 5+ years experience developing database driven web applications running on Microsoft Windows servers
• Excellent knowledge of C# and JavaScript
• Ability to work with customers who need guidance through the software specification cycle.
• Ability to ship products on schedule
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly Desired Skills and Knowledge:
• Experience writing functional specifications and developing reasonable project timelines
• Experience participating directly in the deployment phase in the customer’s environment.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows 7 and 2008 Server and XP operating systems, including networking, databases and client-server enterprise system issues
• Experience with graphic arts applications in typography, page layout, color and image management, and print workflows
• Knowledge of scripting languages, such as VBScript, JavaScript, and Perl
Ability to occasionally travel to customer sites is a requirement.
