Solids appear lighter in leading edge

1. From the gripping edge, 163mm and 463mm
2. Units 4, pms 542. 5, pms7488 ( the problem) 6, solids of pms 292. Unit 1, 2, 3 are not in use.
3. Have not disengaged #4. I do not believe water is being carried to later units being a.m. only using one other unit prior to this.
5. Have not tried other stock. This is a .012 C1S sbs substrate.

Does it happen at start up or as the run progresses? Try a new plate. I've seen plate breakdown that looks like that and for some reason it appears first on the finer areas. 7488 may be an aggressive/abrasive ink.

Confirm plate dot percentage uniformity with a plate reader top to bottom on plate. Bad uniformity is not uncommon on certain types of platesetters (you didn't say what type of plate and ctp you use).
