In a Katana FT-R5055 Imagesetter image comes as like the attached picture. Some fonts are clear and some small fonts are broken. Please suggest.

Background color is only black?
Or is it 4-color black?

What do you see under a powerful magnifier?
Out of focus or plain "fog"?

Looks like the text is an image, 300 dpi or lower, instead of vector that should output at the highest resolution of the output device.
