On our oldest Xerox the prints are very shiny, on our C75 they were much more matte looking, but we had the option of gloss mode. Meanwhile on our Versant 2100 they are extremely matte like on everything except uncoated sheets. Well, I had a job that we printed offset, and we needed a few more run after it had been pulled of the press, so we ran them on our Versant. I was a little surprised to find that our offset inks are quite a bit glossier than the Versant on gloss paper.
I realize some of you with the Color Presses have complained about the shiny toner, but I wanted to let you know just how matte this toner is. We have some customers that love the matte look, and other that hate it.
