Trail periods

Looking to understand what is a reasonable time period to test colour management software such as GMG or Xerox Match Assure, the latter i have been told has a trail period of 10 days which seems too short to me, your thoughts and/or experience would be most welcome

Ten days is too short. It would mean that you drop everything to do the trails. Most trails run for a month or two and all companies seem to be quite happy to extend a trail period if needed.
