Urgent anyone can fold this

i new in artioscad i import the cut drawing to artioscad then define cut and crease lines , but i can not fold it to use it in studio
any one can help me

I can only offer the advice I would for an Arden Impact Designer CAD user - have you set appropriate fold angles to the crease palette entities?

EDIT: Have you checked for gaps, coincident lines and other errors in the design?

i mean i can fold it but not properly some parts falling down but i don't know why anyone can open this in artioscad ?

Using studio requires some tweaking sometimes with die lines. I'll take a look and see if I "fix" it for you.

There are no folding instructions in this ARD file.

Option A: Go backwards
Get a new ARD file with folding instructions from your CAD software or whomever provided you the ARD file.

Option B: Work with what you have
Click the drop down menu in the upper right of the studio window and choose "Fold ArtiosCAD file.." Be sure to "go back" to the beginning, set the base panel, set the substrate and then get to folding those angles manually.

My shop uses Arden Impact and we setup our own ARD files within Studio from A PDF they give us out of Impact. It sucks but it's saved us a number of times.

chevalier, what version of Arden Impact are you using?

Modern versions have 3D, one can auto fold, manually/interactively fold, map artwork/texture/bump maps/lighting etc., record folding into a movie, export out folded/part folded 3D PDF files for viewing in Acrobat Reader etc.

Just curious what what you are doing downstream after the structural design is created.

We're running a version or two behind but the version we run has 3D capabilities. We prefer not to go back upstream into CAD to render prepress files. Especially with Impact being Windows only and our prepress environment mostly Macs.

I just wish Esko and Arden could get along and offer us a format that will work with both parties software including folding instructions, etc. Either that or export to each others format (reverse engineer).
