UV ink problems ruining fuser rollers on laser printers

We have consistent problems with build up and the ruining of fuser rollers at our mail house. We have Canon imagerunners and Oce laser printers. Has anyone had problems and got the issue solved.

Are you saying that you are running shells through your lasers that have been previously UV or Acqueous Coated?

No coatings at all. Pre-printed shells. Using Sun Lazer Cure 4-color process colors

Traditionally, most printers/mail houses UV process AFTER laser print, not before. Regardless of what anyone tells you, even "laser-compatible" UV or Aq will gum-up your feed and fuser rollers over time.

What we are doing is printing a letter shell in process color or spot colors and then going to the lasers. Coating are not applied. The inks are what are burning up the fusers.
Hope this clarifies.

Providing your ink films are completely cured, the inks you are using most likely contain polyethylene wax. Most OCE laser printers exceed 400F. The best quality polyethylene wax melts at 325-375F. I would inquire with your ink supplier what wax the ink contains. The formula should either be wax free or only contain teflon wax. Teflon isn't affected by the heat generated in the high speed laser printers.
