Versant 280 jamming issue on the inverter section

So just lately on any stock from 150gsm up to 350gsm silk, the machine keeps stopping with a jam no and again where the paper is always on the bottom right door on the inverter section (as shown in photo). I have checked the sensors and they are all clean. I do always wipe the inside of the inverter and throughout the machine with a damp cloth every now and again as sometimes can get a static build up. Also I am getting the corner of the sheet slightly getting folded over. I can't seem to see what the paper is catching on for this to happen. Do you think the whole inverter assembly needs replacing or something else?

You're on the right track checking for debris, but also check for broken plastic and dirty or damaged rollers. Also keep in mind that paper not traveling at the expected speed can cause jams, so a jam in that area may be caused by a worn out component nearby. Are any HFSI counters for moving parts in that area nearing or past replacement?

I used to get this every so often on our old v80, if I remember rightly techs used to replace the door unit, basically put it down to wear.

The duplex units on these are notorious for the bearings getting filled with paper dust and placing stress on the long belt. You'll usually hear a slight stripping noise if that's the case. The techs will usually just tighten the belt tensioner as quick fix but eventually all the bearings need to be replaced.

If you don't hear the stripping noise, then the belt and bearings aren't the culprit to your issue.
