Viagra Commercial Speedmaster...

Has anyone else noticed the Speedmaster in the Viagra commercial they have been running the past few months? It has more units than any press I have ever seen. They only show part of the press, but you can see at least 14 units and it looks like it may have 18 judging by the first 9 having a gap before the next batch of units.

Here is a printing site that shows the commercial.

Dead Tree Edition: Viagra in a Printing Plant? What's Up with That?

Maybe the side effects have been causing colour matching issues? :)

I think it was only two units long before he took the Viagra.

Before the shot with the huge rolls of paper, there is a shot from the back of the sheet feeder feeding sheets. Watch the video again.

One reason why a seemingly sheetfed press would have rolls staged next to it is that it is fitted with one of these and can flip-flop back and forth from sheets to rolls *maybe Flip/Flop is a bad use of words in this case!!!

My thoughts were from the outside of the building. It actually sais 'PRINTING' emblazoned on the wall.

It is quite peculiar to see such facilities that still exist in our NANO and 3D world of fantasism.

Don't ya think? D

I saw this commercial the other night while watching football with some friends and I blurted out "good god that's a massive press!" I got the most confused look from my friends (for those uninformed 'press' is also a football term). You'd have thought it was a commercial for Heidelberg without the voice-over.

Obviously the advertiser hit the mark with at least one group-- look at all the posts generated! You paid attention and remembered the ad :)
Do you suppose that was part of the plan?

Does anyone know where this printing operation is located? You do know that Bigger is not always better.

Just an FYI. Heidelberg makes a 16 color perfector that runs sheeted or roll stock by using their CutStar unit. We have the 12 color installed and they run great.

I heard from a Heidelberg service tech that it was shot somewhere in Los Angeles
