Hi We are a Printer in Orlando Fl. We would like to move up to the Violet Chem-free plate. As of now we are on the Violet Silver Plate Positiveworking plate. We will be staying with our (Prosetter-74) and the (Prosetter-102). The question I have is will the (Agfa Azura V) plate work with what we have?

Thanks for your help.

You must have 30 (60) mW laser heads on the prosetters and a cleanout unit to replace the LP Ultra machine(s).

It looks like the Prosetter-74 made in 2006 is a 30 (60) mW laser heads and the Prosetter-102 made in 2002 this is a 5 mW laser. So what do you think I can do?

Thanks
Michael

The cost of upgrading the lasers is probably more than the units are worth ($10,000-20,000)

Michael, the 74 should be fine but you cannot test its output on Azura V unless you bring in a cleanout unit. Bit more complicated with the 102 are you sure you want to invest in upgrading an 11 years old machine ? Platesetters aside the Azura Vi is a good quality plate (note it's now Vi not V, improved version).

Thanks for the update. I know we will need the cleanout unit. And the update on the plate ID. (Azura Vi) So it looks like the Prosetter-74 will be ok for the update but the Prosetter-102 is to old. Is this the way you see this? I think we will ask the Agfa agent for more information on this and the way to go.

Thanks
