What's the proper way to acclimate your stock ?

Assuming that the stock arrives at least 24 hours in advance.
Should the skid be kept in the plastic or unwrapped?
We have the climate set at 74 fahrenheit and humidity at 40 %.

Thanks arfamoe. Any thoughts on static elimination?
The humidity control was just installed. Could it be considered an antistatic eliminator or should I keep the tinsel on-hand?

Always keep a back up plan available. We work in a climate controled room and still get issues. Especialy when paper arrives same day as printing takes place.

If your having static issues: antistatic spray, or tinsel works ok, but rehandeling the skid works best.

Tinsel is a well used method for static. If you can rehandle the skid it will certainly remove much of the static. Many people use a jogger/aerator with deionized air to remove static especially when dealing with plastic sheets.

If your running into static problems on the feed board try mounting an uncoated stock or piece of paper packing on the feed table under the belts to cover the metal parts. This has helped out alot on our larger presses.
