Word count in Acrobat 9

From my understanding, you cannot get a word count from Acrobat, correct? Is anyone using a reliable Acrobat plug-in to get accurate word counts from PDFs?

The way text is stored in PDF I don't think you can calculate the number of words accurately. I think you can only do that in Word/Office applciations.

You can save as rtf and then get a word count?

There is a program called Anymini W that is supposed to work. I've never tried it, so I can't verify if it does.
