Xerox 1000 working with Offset

Hi,

I have a question... Right now i have 2 offset machine, and i would like to buy digital machine as well.

My plan is to use offset for big run jobs and when customer wants to order same job , but small amounts. Like extra order. Can i use xerox 1000 for that ?

I know that digital quality is ok. But is outprint same as offset ? ( all colors and ect...). Do i need special color management program for make print same with offset and digital ?

Does someone have real life experience in this field ? And perhaps someone knows how long takes time to calibrate Xerox 1000 for jobs, what is previously done with offset, if paper calibration is done.

You do need color management with offset/digital integration. I have very good experience with ORIS color management software. Its not very expensive and the quality it produces is outstanding.

I would definetly look into ORIS if going to Xerox 1000 or any other digital machine.
