Xerox C75 Magenta smearing on print job

Hey Guys,

Midway through a Calendar print job, the printer starting smearing Magenta toner on the pages. Attached is a sample.

I was told that the Enduser changed the Magenta toner before this started happening. The supplies are genuine Xerox products and I've opened the toner tray and blew it out. The toner looks good, don't see any sign of leakage or excess toner. I had her run another job, just to see what happened after I cleaned it, but it's doing the same thing.

Could it be a leaky toner? Can it be cleaned or should I just call support?

Looks to me like a bad 2nd transfer where waste toner isn't being cleaned off the belt very well.

If you look under a loupe can you see other colors in there with magenta being most visible?

Also maybe switch the magenta and yellow drums and see if it goes away.

Yes, have seen this problem before. Pretty sure it is the "wiper blade" that removes the excess toner from the belt.

Also check your drums. On our old 8080 it would do this when the drum took a dump.

Thanks for all your responses. Turned out it was the drum, although all of them were at 10%, the magenta gave up.
