Xerox Iridesse profile alignment

I am making profile alignment for each stock i print,
Sometimes the stock is not cutting well and other problems with paper and the alignment isn't perfect.
When i do the Auto Alignment the printer prints 10 pages for it, it takes lot of time and lot of paper.
Is it possible to reduce this 10 pages to 3? looks to me very weird that the machine need 10 pages to make alignment.

manual as in "test print" and use a ruler, THAT is tedious.

Manual is best. I don't do automatic because it is not accurate enough and manual its much quicker and most times doesn't waste any paper. Auto does not have magnification as a priority and how many sheets are cut dead on? Plus it is usually close enough that you can make the profile adjustments on a printed job if it has bleeds and marks without wasting paper. And speaking of printed jobs, doing the alignment profile is sometime off from the printed job anyway.
