Hand-Held Scoring Device

Hello,

I need a hand-held manual scoring device recommendation. I imagine this is very similar to a pizza cutter, but the wheel is a bit smaller and wider. I'm looking to score something 24" long, in the 24" direction. Obviously I don't have a machine that will do a 24" long score. Quality of score is not that important, I just need something that will facilitate the sheet to fold with minimal cracking.

Searched through the forum to no avail.

Right now just 250, and they aren't used terribly fast. I was able to solve the problem by running it through our Graphic Whizard. I had a feeling it would have tripped up with a 24" long sheet, but it didn't have any problems really. Came out straight enough.

Still interested in a recommendation. Just something we would use 25 total creases per week sort of thing.

I've done this before as a home/hobby project, when I used to make paper models using cover stock.... a straightedge and a butter knife

Easiest method is guillotine creasing: Set the backguage of your guillotine to the value of edge of sheet to score, bring down the clamp and tape a sheet of strawboard, box board or whatever you call it in your part of the world to the bed outside the clamp, and hard up against it. Lift the clamp, place the piece to be scored against the backguage and lower the clamp. You now have a neatly creased sheet.
