DeskPack Dynamic Marks Performance Issues

I’ve been experiencing crashes in Illustrator after using dynamic marks with linked files. In the past, I added marks manually using linked files without any issues.

I suspect the crashes might be related to DeskPack plugins. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I prefer to make marks in ArtPro+, Deskpack slows down quite a bit (mac).

Illustrator is a notoriously slow application. Regardless of the plug in's, you are still bound to the confines on Adobe. A true PDF editor like PACKZ or Esko's is a better idea.
