New member, and need some advise

Why don't you want to print the PMS with CMYK? As long as it matches the color who cares how its done? I think Indigo is the only one where you can pre mix a specific PMS color. You should look at a nexpress. They have a feeder option that can do long sheets and they have a 5th color unit. You...

    UV Coater: TecLighting vs Duplo

I am currently looking at either a Duplo Ultra 200A UV coater and a Teclighting Trucoat 21 inch. Right now both companies are having trouble finding a machine for me to look at the demo so I'm basically going off their websites, spec sheets, videos, the sale reps, and any reviews I can find. The...

    Comdoc

Xerox does own comdoc. Just remind them of that and the fact that how they handle this will play a role if future purchases. It probably will be higher but I bet it won't be extreme. What machine and volume do you have?

    Comdoc

You can try to get out of it. Maybe miss a couple payments and when they call you tell them they aren't keeping up with their end of the contract. Another option might be to contact xerox direct and get them to take over service on the machine.

    Comdoc

If everything goes to Comdoc and they want to drop the service contract it seems like you have a good chance of getting out of the lease. If that's the case you can go get a new machine from someone else. That's the way the sales rep made it sound to me but I would read all your paperwork to...

    Comdoc

I had a similar situation with a konica dealer. They dropped our service 3 years into a 5 year lease. We are just finishing paying the lease while the machine sat around not being used for 2 years. I haven't seen anything in writing yet but the comdoc sales guy said the leases come through...

    Comdoc

I've only worked with the sales people because they are trying to sell me a machine. Can you elaborate on the problems you are having. Maybe someone can help with if they had more detail on the problem or at least it could help others avoid the same problems.

    Aqueous for Digital

Does anybody know of any equipment to do aqueous coating on digital? I have a customer that is insisting we aqueous coat all their mailings. I tried to talk them into UV but they want nothing to do with it and are insisting on aqueous.

    scuffing/toner melting while mailing

Hi have tried upping the fuser temp to the max in the advance paper settings. I have not tried slowing it down but I don't think it will help because it's not an adhesion problem. I've tried just about everything to scuff or scratch the toner and it is adhered very well but when you heat it past...

    scuffing/toner melting while mailing

The post office called it belt burn. They basically said when it goes through their machines they have a belt spinning against a non moving piece. The friction from the spinning belt causes heat.

    scuffing/toner melting while mailing

We've had a lot of problems with postcards we mail for customers getting destroyed in the mail. We use primarily Ricoh equipment but from the testing I've done it doesn't seem to matter. Some will just be small scuffs but through testing and talks with the post office we are finding a lot of it...

This Printer Sucks.. What Printer Should I Get Instead? Duplexing Postcards.

so a job might be 100 individual pdfs and you need one copy of each. I still don't see the problem if they are all the same specs just with different art. If you can't find anyone local we would be glad to do them for you.

This Printer Sucks.. What Printer Should I Get Instead? Duplexing Postcards.

I wouldn't think digital shops would have a problem with those quantities if you do several of them a month and they are all similar specs with different art. We do stuff like that all the time for our customers. I don't see why dynamically generated pdf's would be a problem. For some customers...

    Ricoh 901s Default paper sizes 13 x 19 option

I did check and we don't have 13 x 19 as a default size option. It has to be set as a custom size.

    Ricoh 901s Default paper sizes 13 x 19 option

I haven't tied to set 13 x 19 manually for a while so I don't remember for sure but when I do select one of our 13 x 19 sheets out of the paper library it says custom for the size where most of the other papers give the size. So i would say its very possible it is only available as a custom size...

    Digital print estimating app

I've been trying out your app. I'm looking forward to the version 3.1 features and the desktop version. A couple things I'd like to see: 1: a bleed/no bleed checkbox when we set the trim size and paper size. If no bleed it would treat it as no bleed and no margins on a sheet. For things like no...
