Buying Xerox 550 - fiery or no fiery?

DC5000 instead DC5000 instead I would look at buying a used DC 5000 with external rip. Better cost and runs heavier stock reliably.

Xerox freeflow vs fiery as issues?

FF vs Fiery FF vs Fiery Also a big disadvantage, the licensing on the "Free"flow. Fiery doesn't have licensing issues.

    Xerox color 550

DC 5000 instead of 550 DC 5000 instead of 550 I would consider a DC 5000 from Xerox. Buy it used for about 25K and have it refurbed for about 12K and that is only a little more than half of the 550. Very good high volume machine and can run 280 GSM.

    DC250 pauses

It was a B&W printer that had a built in rip and had an issue, until a fix came out, that it would print 7 pages and cycle then print 7 more and cycle...etc. until the file was finished. Had to do with the rip software on the bustled controller. That's why I wanted to know the configuration data...

    DC250 pauses

This use to be an issue on the DC 460 family when sending a big job. The problem is not with the machine rather with the Fiery trying to "catch up" in the ripping/printing proccess. I would first look and see what version of software your Fiery is at(v1.01/1.1), RoHS or nonRoHS. Finally I would...

Xerox 700 - Printing 280gsm Stock on the 170gsm Paper Tray Setting

I would NOT run the 280 gsm as a 170gsm weight. Your looking at possible major problems down the line. The fuser temp and 2nd BTR transfer voltage are the 2 major things that are different using different stock weight. Use the profile you're using for the 170 gsm on the 280gsm. If that doesn't...

    igen3 click

Igen Igen Not neccessarily true. I just finished installing one for a customer and the machine was printing jobs as soon as it was ready to go. The machine had 13 million on it . I did take care when I was deinstalling it to make sure I cleaned areas that aren't easily accessible when it is...

    my own business

I recommend buying used equipment. You get a machine for a quarter of what it was for new and you can put it back on service if you need to.

    my own business

4110 is a great mid/high volume B&W machine. Small footprint, lots for the money. I always tell my customers to buy used and/or refurbished. Try to get a low enough meter on the used machine, make sure it has print enablement on it. Any other questions give me a call. 714-292-6912. FYI ..I would...

Xerox 700 color shifting durring the run.

X 700 X 700 The x 700 has had issues with color shift from the day it went in the field. There has been software upgrades (to v3.1 at this date) and supply chain issues. I love Xerox and have been an independant service tech for over 16 years and everytime I hear a customer is thinking of...

    Xerox DC7002 Color Issues

Dc 7000/8000 Dc 7000/8000 I would recommend the 7000/8000 or AP version of the same. It uses a beefier laser, 1 per color and uses a different type of drum. Email or call if you have any questions. I also would recommend buying a used one versus a new one. Lower price and has been tested in...

I believe that there is a setup routine for the stacker, kind of similar to the Igen stacker height setup.

Xerox DC 2045 Paper Jam 100 gsm -135

2045 jams 2045 jams Try swapping the #1 with the #2 vacuum transport and see if the error code changes. If it does , check the drive belt at the back of each transport to make sure belts turn freely. Also check the paper sensors on each transport, they could be bad also.
