Pressure makes a big difference on the actual foiled areas whether I change pressure, speed or temperature, the spots are always there. I wonder if I've got a faulty batch of laminate!!!

Attached is a photograph showing you my problem. The pic shows the spots larger than they actually are because of the shine from the lens. They are actually more like glitter spots, but they are all over the sheet.

Thanks for your solution. I've already tried this and apply it to every job which I foil. After laminating the sheets, I trim off 1mm from the trailing furry edge before applying toner and foiling but it still has random spots.

I've had a similar problem on my Versant 80 with small tinted text. I would try setting the image quality to 'Normal' instead of 'Best' and I'd also try rotating the business card 90 degrees to that it prints the other way round.

I also had 1 drum replaced luckily the engineer was here when it went wrong. He checked my ref numbers as well and said the rest were okay because it was a batch around 6 months ago. The BTR problem only shows up on heavy stocks 250gsm upwards, but nobody ever told me to keep the rollers...
