pitstop error "Illegal character in EOL marker at byte offset 3425058, 53748322"

Shaji, that's a lot of steps for troubleshooting... :) What's the reason you save it to PDF/A once you have done the OCR? What happens if you preflight your document with Acrobat Pro preflight options? I believe here you can preflight for PDF/A as well. Also which version of PitStop are you...

PitStop removing more than printer marks

On the top of my head I would look for clipping paths or form objects. Which version of PitStop Server are you on? Instead of using the 'remove printer marks' action list, you can create your own action list that will remove only specific objects, in this case the individual marks. cheers, Bert

pitstop error "Illegal character in EOL marker at byte offset 3425058, 53748322"

Shaji, Seems file corruption to me. Are these recently created or old files? Were they stored on a Windows file server and copy by a Mac? It could be that the file's resource has been messed up. Have you tried doing a save as in Acrobat on one of these files and see if that helps? cheers, Bert

PC user trouble with PSP install

Steve, I understand that you initially upgraded from version 7.x to version 10. Afterwards you de-installed and re-installed other versions on top of it. It could be related to the Certified PDF status or the preset databases or to a specific user setting... Did you, or were you asked at any...

Why does my PDF get the error: "Form has no blending color space" ?

Stephen, Pitstop has a similar action as part of the action list, but be careful removing form data especially with print related files. You could unknowingly remove sensitive content. I would do a manual check to see what's part of the form object. It is true that some form Xobjects have no...

Why does my PDF get the error: "Form has no blending color space" ?

Hi, the trigger is the existence of form objects in your resulting pdf file. A form object can be compared with a container holding one or multiple objects. Are you grouping elements in illustrator, or using shadings, drop shadows? That could be a trigger. What pdf preset are you using to create...

Pitstop 10 is driving me nuts

Using the inspector you can indeed change some page box settings but these are single actions and not everything can be done. (feature request if they are listening) Here are steps to get this to work: 1. Create action list - go to plugins>pistop pro>run action lis - select the local database...

Pitstop 10 is driving me nuts

I have no direct solution for the first issue. Does this happen with all files you open in Acrobat? I would think fonts is only an issue when selecting a text element on the page. Can you add a screen grab of what the inspector is,showing after the time-out? About the second, you can it in...

On top of that you can use the edit page box tool in combination with the inspector panel. When you have page box list open in the inspector and ou select e.g. The trim box, the edit page box tool will work on the trim. Especially interesting when you have boxes on top of each other. Update 3...

Problems with pitstop 8.03 and OSX 10.7

Otis, I know it's a pain but both version (pitstop and acrobat) are not compatible with the system you're trying to install it on. You could try downgrading to 10.6, but even that os is not supported, at least for pitstop. Cheers, Bert

    Crop out excess artwork?

Tech, You have a few interesting actions, but only in Pitstop 10. One of them being 'minimize file size'. You can find this in the global, change panel. It will cut your image on one of the page boxes, or the clipping paths. That way you can really get rid of any image data you don't use or...
