    Reflective INKS?

Yes and no. Yes, this is kind of what I was thinking. Selectively placing reflective ink. However, I need more wide-format. Aqueous, solvent, latex... something like that. And this looks shiny, but not necessarily reflective. I need engineer grade type of reflectivity.

    Selective powdercoating

Hi all, If anybody noticed my other post, this is another off-the-wall question. If anybody knows anything about powdercoating... is there such a thing as SELECTIVE powdercoating? I.E. only powdercoat certain areas? And is there such a thing as reflective powdercoat? Thanks for humoring me, Jon

    Reflective INKS?

Hi all, Just wondering if there is such a thing as reflective INKS? You know, like you stick the cartridge in the printer, and it spits reflective ink out of the printhead onto whatever substrate you are printing to? Am I in la-la land? Jon

    Double sided printing

Does anyone have any experience with printing on both sides of material? I've been able to find a printer that does it - here: Premium Synchro Double Side Printer-Solvent Printer But don't know anything more about it. Hoping someone could share some stories? Looking to print on both sides of...

    Time keeping software?

Hi all, Just wondering what other printshops/prepress operations use for time keeping? We do it the old fashioned way here - on paper, with a pen - but wondering if there is any really nice (and EASY to use) software out there that is made for doing this kind of thing? All we track is the...

    LINES on z6100

Okay all you fellow HP z6100 users! I am getting these lines... I can't get rid of them. They seem to only go through the black... but they affect the edges where the blacks go into other colors. It seems to happen after printing for a little while - it is especially painful now because I am...

    Large roll adapters?

Ahh... never thought of that. You are right, I'm sure I'd be getting sensor errors out the wazoo.

    Large roll adapters?

Has anyone ever seen any type of third party item that will allow my inkjet printer to accommodate rolls larger than what they can actually take? For example, I'd like to put a roll of paper on there that is 150 pounds in weight. I am picturing some kind of stand that sits somewhere...

Need a company for vinyl printing (screenprinting)

I need someone who can do the following job for me: Roughly 8" x 36" Reflective vinyl sheeting (engineer grade) (Oracal, 3M, whatever brand is okay at this point) Bus logo printed at top, 7" x 7", one color - blue. Two words printed in middle, roughly 3" x 20", two colors - blue (same as bus)...

HP Z6100 and Onyx RIP - printing SLOW!

Well, turns out what it was was the fact that I am running high quality profiles, with stochastic dot patterns, as opposed to a contone dot pattern, which would print much faster. However, much less control. I like having control of my profiles.

    Printhead problems on HP Z-series

Manuals 4 You - Copier-Printer-Fax Manuals etc You can download the z6100 Service Manual, that the professional technicians use, and figure out how to do it yourself. I got the manual, and checked, and there are procedures in there on how to replace the cutter head. Seems very simple to do...

    z6100ps banding big time

I have never seen unidirectional printing solve any kid of banding. There are two different types of horizontal banding I am thinking of here. One, if it is a blue background - it can alternate between blue and purple type colors. Two, you can get actual light lights. This is NOT a...

    z6100ps banding big time

Can we get pictures of the banding? There are a few different types of banding, and without seeing it, it is impossible to diagnose. The z6100 bands when you print big blocks of color - who knows why. No one has ever been able to tell me why it happens, we just know it does.

    z6100 - heads not aligning

Simple question - my two M-Y printheads are not aligning with each other. I ran multiple printhead alignments, and got no better results. I switched them, and they switched... in other words, the #1 head was out of whack here, I switched them, and then the #2 head was out of whack. What...

    HP Z6100 faint lines (banding)

Yeah, these levels that the printer reports are so off base it's not even funny. My ink absorber on the left side was at 1 or 2 percent full, and there was so much ink on it that it was actually piling up. I couldn't believe it. Same goes for the maintenance cartridge on the right. I'm...

    HP Z6100 faint lines (banding)

When you say cleaning cartridge, you are referring to the maintenance cartridge, on the right side of the printer (formerly the printhead cleaners), right? So you replace that at 80-85% and the problem totally went away?
