    Epson Proof Resolution Setting

Appreciate all the input... I am not referring to a color matching issue though. Matching color is not a issue, color looks great. Our press and Epson are calibrated very tight as far as color. What appears to be very, very faint file imperfections/banding lines in the Epson, will print...

    Epson Proof Resolution Setting

The models are the Epson 10,000 and 20,000 series. What would be the best way to set up these proofing devices to best represent the sharp details we are seeing on our press sheets running these higher line-screens?

    what kind of blanket wash?

We do not need to do any conditioning after a roller wash. The solvent runs through the automatic system. The Heidelberg automatic system does a solvent wash and then a water rinse. That is all we do.

We are in Southern CA. and have been using Amerikal's Brigl wash for several years now. Works good. It is at 34gr/Lt VOC's. Rollers are checked yearly with no roller swell. We use much less of this product then we did with the higher VOC products. We use it for rollers and blankets. We use...

Albert, Not sure if I can help but I can sure sympathize with you. We have had two different Technotrans units both of them given us trouble. The first one the compressor would go out about once a year. The other one we have right now we have had the doser go out twice. The tech. said it...

    Zero VOC Inks, Going Green

John, We have not changed the kind of blankets or rollers we use. They are the same type we used with the higher VOC chemistry. To take it a step further. We routinely replace the rubber in our presses on an annual basis, we have always done this. At this time I always monitor the...

    YUPO difficulties

I feel your pain, but it doesn't have to be that way. We just ran two Yupo stocks last night one text weight and one cover with conventional printing. Both jobs had heavy double hit of black over the majority of the sheet. I got in at 9AM this morning and both jobs were already being die cut...

    Bottcher Feboclean BIO-3

Re: Bottcher Feboclean BIO-3 Luke, I have read through the blog and understand your frustrations. We have been using Amerikal's Brigl was, which is 34.3 g/l VOC's and it has no hazardous chemicals in it, for several years now out here in CA and we are not having any of the problems that have...

Stay Open Inks and Rub Resistance

Re: Stay Open Inks and Rub Resistance Dwane, We do use The Thin Ink Film Technology, and it works great. It is not only environmental and health friendly it out performs all other systems out there hands down. I can use the same ink on all substraights. That is right, I don't have 5 -6...

Stay Open Inks and Rub Resistance

Re: Stay Open Inks and Rub Resistance Dwane, When I say we have no cutting problems I mean we can cut a 100# gloss book sheet with AQ having 300+ ink coverage within an hour off press. Uncoated stock line work run the job and cut it. Uncoated stock process ink med. to heavy coverage run the...
