I've been looking into getting on of these printers for a few years, any suggestions or user data would be helpful. Zoned in on the Paxar / Avery snap 500 2/1 care label printer to suit my needs: 2 color front, 1 color back. has the cutter/stacker as part of base design. durable. us service...

    small perfect binder?

The sterling digibinder has been a great tool. we run catalogs through twice. this ensures no loss of binding or separation with coated gloss or thick stock. we run off a canon 9500. works like a champ.

    full bleed book edge enhancement?

Is there something I can use on a full bleed perfect bound book that will enhance the fore-edge color? I think because our paper is a fairly good thick stock, that when I cut our books to a full color bleed that I see more white than I would like. I sometimes wipe alot of "Fingertip Moistener"...

    3D PVC/rubber/silicon patch making?

Does anyone here make their own PVC patches? We've been edging around these rubber patches since they came out around 1994. Now that the materials are getting green (like the rubber can be corn or rice based), they are looking more promising to just buy a machine that makes them for our own use...

    Laser or inkjet printer needed

if that's the only project you need to print, you might try your public library or university print shop, your local independent print shop or fedexprint. I would ask black/white or color, but assume the logo has a bit of color.

    free printer?

I ran across this company that gives you a free printer in exchange you buy your supplies from them. they cover all service and maintenance of the printer. Do other companies do this? Preferably closer to florida. I know supplies usually cost more than the equipment anyway, so don't see a...

how would I qualify for canon Corporate Service Training?

our company is kind of isolated from civilization, and our machines tend to run on heavy use and service. What requirements do i need to qualify for canon Corporate Service Training to be trained on fixing the machines myself? Are there others here who have done so?

White ink printing for under $5000? Go Uno?

thanks Ed, we do have a lesser need to print on clear UBL (on a roll though). will see if we can do a test sample on it. I think I'm ok without black, we have an inkjet that does pretty ok white/light garment transfers.

White ink printing for under $5000? Go Uno?

Thanks, was thinking the epson might have a clogging issue because it comes with a cleaner cartridge, maybe not production ready for the purposes intended. more I look into it, I'm liking the OKI LED printers with white cartridge. 711 model has a very nice starting price, but replacement white...

Hi, I've been looking into white ink for transfer papers forever. We do alot of customer heat transfers, but we outsource them for screen print transfers. the process takes time, and is starting to get to the point where customers are being lost. I've looked into the roland, mimaki, and other...

How do I connect a mac directly to fiery?

Our fiery print server for our canon IR 9075 has been having problems since we hit 1,000,000 imprints. mainly, we're down to a communication error. the light at the ethernet from fiery to printer is red. Tech support solution was to remove the fiery as a workstation. now that we do not have a...

    small perfect binder?

i wish i had a response to that, but those brain cells are no longer functional. we bought a pretty good air system, would recommend someone else buy a great air venting system and have it installed by someone you've worked with before. I think a bathroom ventilation fan would've worked better.

    small perfect binder?

we got a sterling digibinder. haven't had any problems with it so far. easy to use, make nice books and notepads. no problems with glossy stocks. i think the largest book so far was over 700 pages. ventilation sucks though. it's in a small room with a crappy exhaust fan, it will get you high...

need help finding the perfect wide format printer for our needs

Thanks, have been looking into the name brands which service near to me. Roland, Mimaki, Oce, ect., service will be the main key. I think we'll end up with three machines that specialize instead of one that can do everything. There are so many variables and conflicting reports on everything i...
