You are very correct ymckman. The pair is almost as important as the product, especially with UV. If you use the wrong products together, you can get effects such as "orange peel", or "texture". Actega makes a great line of these special effects. Run varnish & water a bit higher, but yes, watch...

You need to use the correct pairing of varnish & coating and also be able to laydown powder as well. You could be running too much varnish?
