    GRAPHIC WHIZARD FOLDMASTER 250

We have one that's used for mainly scoring. I believe the manual is incorrect. Remove the top fold plate, and don't bother with any deflector plate. It works this way for us when scoring.

anyone have a KM Accurio C6085?

We have been running two C6085's for a couple of years now. They were replacements for C1085's. We have had great results so far from the C6085's. We have the IQ units installed and get great colour consistency and registration. There is lower downtime compared to the C1085's they replaced...

    Happy Birthday Canada

The country was divided into two sections called Upper Canada (now Ontario) and Lower Canada ( now Quebec). This dates back to the 16th century.

    Xerox C60 Random Dots

We don't have Xerox equipment, we use KM printers. I have seen this on KM machines periodically and the workaround for us is to increase the weight of the paper.

If you had it to do over again Konica 8000 vs ?

We had the same setup in our shop but switched out the 8000 for a C1085 when they came out. We kept the booklet maker and had it set up on the 1085 and have much better registration and colour consistency.

Downsizing from and Igen 4 to KM 1100 Ricoh 9110??

We rid ourselves of an iGen3 and Xerox about three years ago. We went with KM and they installed 2 C8000's for less than we were paying for the iGen. Our electricity consumption dropped significantly as well. We ran the C8000's until last year when we updated to 2 C1085's. We are very happy with...

    My KM C8000 Prints Scrolls

We have this issue as well. Service came in and they adjusted the decurlers to ease up on this. It seems to be working better for us. It's not perfect but alot better than we had. We also run simplex jobs to the stacker face down which helps. We run mainly heavier stock (300gsm).

    Offset paper on an Igen3

We, on the other hand, use mainly digital stocks through our iGen3. I find it saves a lot of jamming issues and digital stocks are designed to handle the fuser heat and pressure. It doesn't mean you must use XEROX digital stocks, most paper mills have whole lines of digital offerings that are...

    Presstek Letterheads

We have a Presstek 34DI. Ours is used for Letterhead and envelopes mostly. I have never had anyone complain that the ink ran when put through a laser printer. We have several clients that store the letterhead here and we imprint through our B & W printer with no ill effects.

Which UV Coater for Digital Shop??

We have been using a K2 Coater for 4 years. IMHO the bulb is probably due for replacement. We changed ours last winter and the results have been great. We use it for both offset and digital. Our UV solution is from Prisco.

    Cut Quality: Slitter vs. Guillotine?

I would disagree with the statement made by the owner. We too do a lot of BC and have been using a slitter for 7 years. The speed at which we can finish them is probably 4 to 1 over our cutter. Alex is correct when he says if the machines are optimal, the cuts are identical. Most importantly, we...

Xerox 242 prints - laminating full coverage problems

We have been laminating Xerox output for years. The problem is fuser oil. We let the print sit for overnight before trying to laminate. We use ( D & K ) Superstick laminate that has a more aggressive glue for bonding to toner.

    Varnish on Toner

We too have tried varnish on our iGen3 output with no success. We have been able to apply a flood UV coat with great results. You need to let the fuser oil dissipate for some time first (we usually wait overnight) before applying the UV.
