symantec backup exec software...use it for 4 servers and export the data out to TB tapes..we chose symantec because for restoring its simple and not time consuming at all. Support is great also.

Has anyone know or tried developing another manufacturer's digital plate using the cyrel fast? If so, what are your experiences. We currently use dupont plates only, just wondering if there are any options.

Asahi plates smells bad and results are just ok(MY EXPERIENCE).... For quality results Dupont would be advised. (I use ESKO CDI > DUPONT EXPOSURE UNIT > DUPONT DEVELOPER)

You should include that depending on the MIS he is using there will be some limitations, including(using xml, querying from AE to MIS). JDF works great but its pretty costly to setup and all the information placed into the MIS must always be 100% accurate.

Does anyone here use Cyrel Plate material? And has anyone ever encountered a problem with it cracking on the surface after a short period of time? your feedback will be muchly appreciated.

Sounds like a missing fonts issue and how you are exporting the pdf. Check the export settings and try to embed the fonts while exporting.
