Acrobat X Output preview

I must be missing something. I can't figure out how to have the default for Output preview be CMYK with Acrobat X. What is the secret?

Depends on how the file is made. If the file is a PDFx then the output intent of the file will control the colour space (and profile) of the separations preview. In the Print production tool you can otherwise choose to simulate another output profile, irrespectiv of the intended output colour space. If you need to change the file from another intent then you can use the colour converter tool.

I see. We have not been choosing a standard, which then previews in RGB by default. Now I know what to look at.
Thanks
Rick
