Agfa PDF Rip Error

I m using Agfa PDF RIP Series 2 and facing problem when I send job Error appear after one color and some time after two or three colors. Error deatail given below.


There was an error found when printing the document "Job name.qxd" to \\.\pipe\PDFRip.

Not that i ahev experience with the Agfa pdf rip, but your error states that the file is not a pdf but a quarck file if I am not mistaken.
Are you shure you have send a pdf to the RIP?

sure, QXpress or CorelDraw files are not "eatable" for RIPs

I send Postscrip file (PS) for print and some time error display that "requested page size too big" while file size is A4 and i use 18" film roll on machine

What does a Preflight application, like FlightCheck tell you?

What does a preflight report, for instance from FlightCheck v6.76, tell you? Does it show any errors, both on the native QuarkXpress Project and in the Postscript or PDF print file?

If you are sending a PS file a real quick way of checking the actual size (old school solution) may be to drop the PS into Adobe Acrobat Distiller and open the resulting PDF. Double check your output settings in Quark, or on the other end your film setup size on your imagesetter.

A other question that popsup in my mind is why are you sending ps files to a pdf RIP?
