Bitmap images showing low res on PDF

Hi, I have a problem with the same client and I'm trying to figure it out what it is. Here are the details:
They are using Quark 7, they use Tif B&W bitmaps and changed the colors within Quark, the problem is when I export to PDF those images shows up low res, I checked the link file, open them in Photoshop and they are fine hi-res 1200 dpi B&W images.

Another job they sent, one of the images was a tif color image and had the same issue.

The run around I found out to get the workflow moving is that I export to eps in Quark and I distill that file and the images are good hi-res but my trim box drops.

Any ideas of what settings I'm missing? also they re-size the size of the image in Quark to about 67%.

Do you have any down sampling turned on in the pdf export in Quark?

It either has to be downsampling turned on, or they linked photo is missing. That will also give you a low res PDF of that image if its not linked properly

The links are fine, I'll check the down sampling when I get to work on Tuesday.

Found out what the problem is, I checked the settings to export the PDF, OPI setting was checked for low res!
