Blanket Choice

Running a Ryobi 9975 perfecting press. Impression is blanket to blanket. On a textured sheet I have one blanket from one maker that prints just fine and another blanket from another maker that doesn't get the ink into the low spots in the paper. Im sure one blanket is harder than the other but I don't know which is which.

I'm thinking that the softer blanket is the one that prints fine but others are telling me that it is the harder blanket that is the one that prints fine. Which is it?
