Cutter won't cut long sheets

Hey guys, I have a challenge 20 cutter. Happened yesterday. Was cutting everything just fine, and then all of a sudden when i got to cut a 17" sheet, it will barely power through 10 sheets of 80# Cover. But, if I turn the paper around and cut sheets of 11x17 down to 8.5x11, it will power through 2" of paper like its nothing. Ive messed with the pressure and just can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Dull blade. We used to have a challenge 20. If the blade would start to get dull we would have problems with uncoated sheets if we cut them in the long direction. If it would get real dull we would only be able to get through about a half in stack of uncoated in the long direction. Even with a sharp blade you might struggle to cut through a full stack if it takes up most of the 20 inches and is uncoated. The cutter just isn't powerful enough for it.

Thanks, thats what i figured but it was weird how it was just fine and then bam, nothing.

We have the same thing on our 20" Triumph. It just barely has enough power to cut uncoated heavyweight stocks in the long direction.

Mine hasn't had a problem until yesterday. It's always been able to go through at least 1" of uncoated long ways until the other day.
