Delivery pile load temperature

Does anyone know what you would use to measure the load temperature of the delivery pile?

I am having some ghosting issues and wanted to figure out what my temperature is. I put a thermometer in the delivery but this may not be an accurate representation of the load itself.

While it might be more expensive, there would be other applications in the shop for troubleshooting other problems or controlling other variables. Therefore:
1. Google Infrared Pyrometer, little laser pointing thing that can also read temperatures on rollers, plates, gears, bearings, etc.
2. Sword Hygrometer, by Rotronic, Swiss. Reads temperature and relative humidity, excellent for paper and thus, printed paper loads.
