Does Lithostabil change the tackness of printing inks?

Hi, we have the sample of Lithostabil (additive to inks). But before testing in polygraphy we have question. How does Lithostabil influence on viscosity and change the tackiness of printing inks? Can we solve the problems with tackiness of oil-based printing inks due to using Lithostabil? Thank you in advance.

lithostabil is more to control water take up and stability any effect on tack would be minimal. if you want to change tack and flow [viscosity] there are better products

Anything added to an ink will effectively dilute the pigment load. Even if the additive itself does not change the tack ,you will have a decrease in tack as a result of the thicker ink film you will need to run to maintain the same density. If added in very small doses the product will ultimately lower your inks working tack. Im not familiar with the product and the recommended dosage, but there is the possibility that the product contains a fast acting dryer that will build tack very quickly, allowing your ink to reach pre additive tack levels even at thicker ink films. Perhaps a company rep for the product will speak up and offer more insight.
