Duplo PUR 2000 perfect binder problems

We have had our Duplo PUR 2000 perfect binder for about 10 months and we have had continuing problems with the glue length consistency since we acquired the machine. Approximately 20% of the books we bind are effected. The glue cuts out at various points in the book. Some times it is only by a couple of centimeters and other times by half the book. We have had numerous service calls and still the problem keeps occurring. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was the cause. The is turning into a nightmare for us, the cost of reprints is absurd.

MIE: None whatsoever. This closed system is fume-less and it is an extruded system. Best thing? both PUR and EVA in same machine. And we paid half the price of closest competitors

MIE, we are having the same problem with our Morgana Digibook 200 PUR bookbinding machine. It has been months but we couldn't solve it yet. Did you figure out the cause of this?

Check the air pressure and the air cooler. The system has a fairly large tolerance for inconsistencies in the air supply, but results of insufficient air eventualy will show up like you've described. Also, check if it's happening with EVA too? If not, then your type of PUR glue might not fit for the machine. We tried half a dozen types of glues until we found the perfect one (Henkel Technomelt).

Same problem that you are facing like the 2000 above. You have a blockage in the glue system.
